Mukona Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd conducted a geotechnical investigation for the proposed Project Horizon 250MW Solar PV Plant on a 736ha piece of land near Mumbwa, Central Province in the Republic of Zambia.
Investigation scope: Excavation of fifty (50) test pits, DCP along the centreline of the access roads, twenty-five DPSH testing, twenty-five rotary core drilling, geophysical surveys (soil electrical resistivity and thermal resistivity), topographic survey, hydrology studies, hydrogeology studies, lightning studies, transport studies and laboratory testing.
